TRENPEX works with all scale manufacturers and is able to collect measurement data from these third-party providers. This data is securely and seamlessly integrated into the central TRENPEX DataHub, where it is further processed so that we can automatically calculate the actual payload of the vehicles from their full and empty weights. We then make this information available to you both via the interface and via our TRENPEX portal. This gives you a complete digital data set for each vehicle—consisting of image, identity, and weight.
The TRENPEX portal not only provides you with an overview, but also various views of your measurement locations, individual measuring points and measurement events, as well as historical data records. At the touch of a button, you can obtain an image for each individual vehicle on your premises in conjunction with the weight data from the dynamic scale. This allows you to see the weight of the respective vehicle at a glance and know whether the load is evenly distributed or whether, for example, individual axles of the train are overloaded. In the event of an overload, TRENPEX will immediately notify you by text message, email, or webhook so that you can take all necessary measures.
Connection
Reliably calibrated vehicles
The TRENPEX system offers flexible integration with dynamic scales to ensure accurate and seamless weight data capture.
If direct access to the weighing electronics is possible, the system establishes a live interface to capture real-time weight data for each wheel, axle, and vehicle. In cases where direct communication is not possible, TRENPEX can alternatively monitor the scale's measurement computer for newly created weighing files. This dual approach ensures compatibility with a wide range of third-party scales while providing complete, accurate, and traceable weight documentation.
Benefits
Smart weighing
Dynamic scales offer numerous advantages in conjunction with automatic image recognition and real-time data processing by TRENPEX to provide complete and accurate information: This combination significantly improves and simplifies logistics for industrial companies in a wide range of industries in terms of safety, efficiency, and transparency.
One of the main advantages is that weight data for each individual vehicle is recorded and made visible, providing you, the operator, with accurate real-time information. This enables you to detect uneven weight distribution at an early stage, which affects stability and increases wear and tear on your infrastructure. Axle load exceedances are also detected immediately, preventing damage to both rolling stock and track systems.
In addition to these safety-related advantages, automated dynamic scales optimize your logistics processes. They eliminate the need for manual weighing, reduce processing time, and minimize the risk of human error. The system operates without interrupting rail or road traffic, enabling weight measurements during normal operations without delays. This non-intrusive process reduces maintenance and wear and tear on your infrastructure caused by frequent stopping and starting.
In addition, the collected data can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT and fleet management systems, supporting more effective planning, compliance monitoring, and maintenance scheduling. Automated logging of measurement results provides you with a reliable audit trail, which is essential for safety reporting and regulatory compliance.
